About me:
I am Hal Hanstein, President of Cardinal Realty Group based in St. Louis, Missouri.
I have over 42 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate. I started my Commercial Real Estate Career in 1982 as Vice President of Yorkshire Village Inc. For 17 years, I learned my profession, managing and leasing retail, office, and industrial space. I also headed the new home division of the Koch Family business, developing residential subdivisions, and building and selling new single-family homes. My mentor, Adrian Koch, taught me many lessons, with the most important one of my life being "to never ask a man to do what you are unwilling to do yourself." During my employment with Adrian Koch at Yorkshire Village Inc., I accomplished many things, including a master's Degree in Real Estate Management from Webster University, being President of the Webster Groves Chamber of Commerce, being Business Person of the Year for Webster Groves, receiving an Honorary Lifetime Membership in AARP. I was a board member of the St. Louis Association of Realtors CCIM Chapter, Webster Groves Economic Development Task Force, and the Webster Groves Economic Development Commission.
In 2000, I transitioned to the Brokerage side of the business, joining the Lechner Realty Group as a sales associate. This role provided me with a comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate brokerage. During my tenure, I successfully closed several high-profile sales, including the acquisition of land for the Rolls Royce/Bentley dealership and Old Spaghetti Factory in Chesterfield Valley, the sale of the former Benjamin Moore Paint manufacturing facility in St. Louis, and the sale of Bentley Plaza to an out-of-town investor.
In 2002, I assumed the role of Director of Leasing at Commercial Development Company. In this capacity, I was responsible for leasing and managing large-scale industrial projects across the Midwest. These projects included an ABB Plant in Muncie, Indiana, a Naugahyde plant in Port Clinton, Ohio, a Fruit of Loom Plant in Saint Martinville, Louisiana, a brass plant in Cleveland, Ohio, and a portfolio of Tuffy's located throughout the USA.
In January 2004, I went into business for myself, opening the first office of Cardinal Realty Group in St. Peters, Missouri. Since then, I have completed Millions of Dollars of Single-Tenant NNN investment to foreign investors from Russia, China, and Vietnam, not to mention hundreds of transactions in the St. Louis Metro. My motto is, "Unseen is untold is unsold!" My marketing strategy gets results for my clients. I am doing what I love to do best: helping people buy, sell, and lease Commercial Real Estate in St. Louis.
